49ers vs. Titans: Stats Last Season

2017 NFL Week 15

San Francisco’s Jimmy Garoppolo made one last scoring drive to secure a fantastic first home start in the closing seconds.

Fellow 49ers Robbie Gould kicked a game-winning 45-yard field goal that led to San Francisco’s victory over Tennessee, 25-23.

Garoppolo tossed a career-high 381 YDS and a TD during the matchup to give the 49ers a three-game winning streak. Meanwhile, Gould placed the Niners out front on a 48-yarder with 3:08 left.

On the other hand, Marcus Mariota drove Tennessee to a lead (8-6) as fellow Titans Ryan Succop kicked a 50-yard field goal with only 1:07 remaining. Despite Tennessee’s efforts to steal the play, Garoppolo and the Niners still triumphed in the end.

Though it took three tries, coach Kyle Shanahan finally found a reliable quarterback after picking Jimmy Garoppolo from the Patriots during the October trade deadline.

Garoppolo made the first Niners QB win each of his first three starts since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
