Ravens vs. Colts: How to Bet on Games
Over/Under: This is a “totals” bet popular in pro leagues like the NBA, MLB, and NFL. It projects the total points both teams score in a game. For example, bettors can pick over or under the Vikings vs. Buccaneers at 51.
Live Betting: You can bet after the game begins and before it ends. For example, you could select Cleveland or Kansas City after the opening kickoff airs on networks like CBS.
Teaser: This multi-leg accumulator bet lets you move point spreads to more favorable betting lines. The main drawback is this betting action lowers the odds of NFL picks.
Parlay: This multi-leg bet requires bettors to win all of the legs to win the whole bet.
Moneyline: You can win this straight-up bet if you correctly pick the NFL game’s winner or loser. For example, you could pick the Houston Texans or the Jacksonville Jaguars in a matchup.
Point Spread: This bet is based on the number of points a football team wins or loses by. A minus sign shows the favorite, and a plus sign shows the underdog.
Proposition Bet: A prop bet lets you bet on an individual play or specific event, although the former bet is more common. For example, bettors can bet whether the Packers or the Raiders will score the game’s first points.
