MLB Baseball Betting, MLB Betting Odds, Baseball Trends

With just under two months to go in the MLB season the divisional races are heating up and the AL Central is one division with a lot of competition.

Currently the Detroit Tigers are in the lead but they are being chased by the Chicago White Sox, who are 3 games behind, and the Minnesota Twins, who are five back.

Baseball Odds:

The Tigers are the odds-on to win the division at -110, while the ChiSox are +160 and the Twinkies are +300.

On Tuesday night, the Tigers have a date with the Red Sox in Boston and are listed as +120 road dogs with the Total set at 10.

Betting Trends:

Detroit's last 10 visits to Fenway have not ended well with the Tigers going 3-7 straight up but the Under has cashed consistently with the Over/Under going 2-7-1.

First-year righty Rick Porcello will take the mound for Detroit and in his last seven road starts, the Tigers have gone 5-2 SU while the O/U has gone 2-5.

Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox are in Seattle to play the Mariners, listed as -150 road faves; the Total is set at 8.5.

Like the Tigers in Boston, the ChiSox have struggled when in the Pacific Northwest, going 2-8 SU in their last 10 visits to Safeco Field.

John Danks starts for the White Sox and they are 7-4 SU in his last 11 road games and dating back to 2007, his team is 0-4 when he starts against Seattle.

The ChiSox will face inexperienced righty Doug Fister and in their last six games against RHPs, they are 5-1 SU.

Unlike their divisional rivals, the Minnesota Twins will be playing within the friendly confines of the Metrodome, facing the Kansas City Royals.

The Twins are listed as -200 home favorites and the Total is set at 9.5.

In Minnesota's last 10 home games, it has gone 7-3 on the Over/Under and in the last seven home games against the Royals, it is 2-5 SU.

Right-hander Nick Blackburn gets the start for Minny and he has been rock-solid in his last 11 home starts, as the Twins are 9-2 SU in that time.

Blackburn's last home start against K.C. resulted in a SU win where the Twins won 7-2 and Pushed on the Over/Under.

Five games separate the third place team from the first place team in the AL Central and with a number of divisional games scheduled for the final stretch of the regular season for all three teams, things could get tighter.

But that will only make for exciting baseball.
